Music to me has many different meanings. We listen to music for many different reasons. Mainly people associate music with entertainment and fun, but I think it's also one of the main factors that help people get through tough times. I think everyone at one point and time has used music as a way to help them get through a tough situation. I also think that when you're not doing well you also learn to understand the lyrics and the meaning of the music. I think when your happy it's easier to miss the meaning of a song as opposed to when you're not doing well. A song that has a lot of meaning to me is the song Till I Collapse by Eminem. The beginning of this song really means a lot to me and goes like this.
"Cause sometimes you feel tired, feel weak
and when you feel weak, you feel like you just wanna give up.
But you gotta search within you, and find that inner strength,
and get that motivation to not give up, and not be a quitter,
no matter how much you just wanna give up and collapse"
I like this song alot. i agree with you on why people listen to music
